O
Light of the Morning
Sheet music for harp and one or two voices
“Alpha, the
Beginning, Omega, the Ending,
The First and the Last and the Ever-Living One!
Your face is as bright as the sky in the morning,
Your eyes are as bright as the rays of the Sun.”
This Christian song of
praise is written for lever harp and two voices. Both the melody and
harmony are moderate enough in range to be sung by either soprano or alto
except the optional obligato in verse 4, where the harmony rises above the
melody. The sheet music is 4 pages (all music), 8½" x 11",
printed on ivory paper, and includes words (five verses in English and one
in the Gaelic in which this song was originally written), melody/harmony for two voices,
chord symbols, and an arrangement that can be played on either the lever or pedal harp. Of course, it is also suitable for one vocalist to sing the melody alone (the song has even been used for congregational singing), and the arrangement, like most harp music, can also be played on the piano. Easy to intermediate. $3.00.
