Ballinderry

Sheet music for harp and voice

"’Tis pretty to be in Ballinderry,

Pretty to be in Aughalee;

“Tis prettier to be on bonny Ram’s Island,

Sitting forever beneath a tree.”

A lovely, traditional song from the West of Ireland, arranged for harp and voice. It is a lament, with the refrain “Ochon” (“Alas!”), sung by a girl whose lover, Phelim, left her to emigrate to America and was lost at sea.

The sheet music includes words, melody, chords, and arrangement for the lever or pedal harp, and like all harp music, it can also be played on the piano. It is 8½" x 11", 4 pages, and printed in black on ivory paper. Level: easy to intermediate; in the key of C with no accidentals. $3.00.
