Down by the Salley Gardens
Sheet music for harp and voice
"Down by the
Salley Gardens
My love and I did
meet…."
A lovely poem written in 1889 by William Butler Yeats
in celebration of his love for Maud Gonne and set – by Yeats himself – to
the Irish traditional air “The Maids of Mourne Shore.” Here it is presented
as sheet music, beautifully arranged for harp and voice.
The music is 4 pages
long, 8½” x 11”, printed on
ivory paper. It includes the words, melody, arrangement for the harp, and
chord symbols. Although written for the lever harp, it is also
suitable for the pedal harp, and like most harp music, can also be played
on the piano. It is in the key of C with no accidentals, and the level is
easy to intermediate. $3.00.
