The Gartan Mother’s Lullaby

Sheet music for harp and voice

“Sleep, O babe, for the red bee hums the silent twilight's fall.
Aoibheall from the grey rock comes, to wrap the world in thrall...”

A beautiful old lullaby with lyrics by Joseph Campbell and a traditional melody collected in Donegal by Herbert Hughes, arranged for lever harp and voice. It is in the key of C; its one B-flat chord is played by flatting the lowest B string on the harp before beginning to play. The sheet music is 4 pages, printed on ivory paper, and includes words (3 verses), melody, chords, and arrangement for the harp. Level: lower to middle intermediate. $3.00.
